Amcha Baap Aan Amhi Pdf Free Amcha Baap Aan Amhi or baap aan amhi is a Punjabi mythological story about a childless couple who pray to god to have a child. God grants their wish and the wife gives birth to many sons, while the husband dies in childbirth. The sons battle for power and separate their father's kingdom into three parts, which they take turns ruling over. This is an English translation of the story found in Pheku Phua's Mathura Jyotish Kaumudi (1840). The translator is unknown. "Amcha Baap Aan Amhi" is a popular legend of the state of Punjab in India, and its people, the Sikhs. It is said to be based on fact, but without any ancient written records it cannot be substantiated. This is the story as it was told to me by my grandfather Lala Harchand Singh who heard it from his elders when he was young. We now find it engraved on plaques in Gurdwaras throughout India and Canada where there are large populations of Punjabis. Punjabis in the US would be familiar with this legend because it is often used in Sikhism to celebrate weddings and other happy occasions. The story starts in the village of Dama in the Punjab, in a time when there was no milk in store for children. The people thus found their children too small to eat, so they took their youngest to the guru Guru Deh Chup Sahib so he can perform miracles. The child drank his milk and grew up fast, so they took him to Guru Nanak Dev Sahib so he can perform miracles also. The child drank his milk and grew up fast, then they took him to Guru Hargobind Sahib for another miracle. The child drank his milk and grew up fast, then they took him to Guru Har Rai Sahib in Delhi (now in India) and he drank his milk and grew up fast, but the child could not speak. They took him again to Guru Hargobind Sahib in Delhi and he told them not to worry because the child will be a blessing for the world. That was the beginning of Mila Singh. The next year, when it was time for the Rama Mela at Goindwal Sahib, it was found that cattle were missing from almost every house. It was learned that a man called Jhanda had stolen all of them, which included about 6000 cows from one particular village alone. Guru Hargobind Sahib sent out a group of his Sikhs to bring back all the stolen cattle. The group was made up of Bhai Buddha, Bhai Langah, Bhai Murari and Shaheed Bhai Jetha. Bhais Buddha and Langah brought the cows from Naraingarh and Patiala, while Bhais Murari and Jetha went to Gurdaspur in search of the others. When they reached Gurdaspur, they were stopped by Dhir Mal who was a great devotee of Sri Guru Har Krishan Sahib Ji (Guru for only 7 months). cfa1e77820
